FILMING
During the filming session, I meant many inconvenient situation but I still manage to get the most important shots of the music video. I had a really short limit of time because the model that I chose, changed plans last minutes s I had to adapt myself to her timing knowing that I wouldn't have time to film everything, for example the scene that I planned on my script with protagonist taking a shower wasn't really relevant so I decided to eliminate this scene. Other shots that I didn't film wre shots that I planned in extra in case I wouldn't have enough or didn't like some shots. Due to this short timing I had I wasn't able to take backstages pictures and couldn't ask anyone because we were by ourself.
Another difficulty I meant was with the model's acting, she was feeling comfortable but couldn't act genuine so I had to repeat certain shots multiple times like the mid shot in the kitchen whereas other shots I just needed to film once, such as the shots where she is lip syncing, I just needed to take it multiple times for the different outfits.
Regarding the location, her house contained many white walls so it wasn't a problem to find a place to film but depending on where in the house we were the lightning wasn't good because it wasn't a sunny day so I improvised and used a desk lamp as a source of lightning.
I didn't film following the order of the script because I had to pay attention to details like when she needed lighter make-up and a stronger makeup look or find a moment when she wasn't wearing trousers to film the shot with the legs. Small details like this in order not to loose time.
We filmed until late but I managed to get the most important shots for my music video, this filming session was only half of the shots I needed for my music video.
The second filming session, I didn't need any protagonist so I was able to do it when I wanted without setting a clear date. I started filming after the first raw montage I did to see what I required to film and how it would match better with the rest of the music video. I filmed this, when I came back home in Romania where I have a big white table where I could film the fruits and egg in a good setting and lightning. I began by filming the three elements all together when they were still intact as after I would need to damage them. In total, I broke two eggs because the first one I broke wasn't in the middle of the shot so I had to clean and restart having in mind the position I should let the egg fall.
From this second session of filming the last shot I took was the one I needed to smash water with my hands. I first set the cemra far enough not to get wet, to get the right angle and close-up I used a lens XF 55-200mm on the camera I used during the whole filming session a Fujifilm X-Pro 2. After setting my camera and the tripod in the right place, I first took the soot with the water running into the sink to mock men when they pee anywhere they want and after that I filled in the sink with water and made soap foam using a sponge. I repeated multiple times the action to make sure I get the right one that satisfy me.
Putting aside the difficulties I meant during the first filming session, I still managed to get the shots I wanted to create my music video and transmit the meaning of the song.
