Vivienne is from Romania, she is 17 years old. We choose her because she is not the ideal body for our modern society but she is still confident in it. It helps us in a way to approach the topic in regards to social construction of beauty towards photography and fashion

We decided to rent an apartment through Airbnb. It is situated in
Cluj-Napoca, Romania.
The apartment is has colors that inspires us for the photoshoot, it is rustic but classic which would give something more to the pictures.
P R O P S :
We choose to represent NUDITY for one of our main topic in our magazine because it is a huge topic in our modern industrial society.
Nudity is often criticized in any situation whether it is for art or photography. We wanna show that nudity is not necessarily vulgar or objectify women and men.
We would like to express our ideas and show a perspective of it in a artistic way. we would like to show the audience that self-love and acceptance is really important.

Chiara and I paid together, we equally split the total amount.

We also use additional props that we owned personally.
We took around 1300 pictures including backstages videos and images.
From this, we learned that we should start looking for a location a week before the photoshoot. At first we wanted to rent another apartment but it was occupied then look for another one but the owner did not agree with the photoshoot because we decided to ask the owners of the apartments if they agreed just to make sure. Finally we made a decision and the owner agreed so we rented it but we were not really convinced by it but it was surprisingly better than we thought. We actually thought about it and then realized that the location we rented was better because it was more diverse and more locations within one than the one we wanted before which was all the same everywhere.
It contains around 3 photoshoots in total because we used different props, hairstyle and locations within our rented apartment.
This photoshoot was really important for us to be able to realized (this is why it will on our double-speard) it because as girls we feel the pressure of the social media showing an ideology of the women's body. I think we succeed to show that everybody can feel comfortable in their even thought they don't fit the ideal body.

In our first photoshoot, we really wanted to express our ideas and I personally think we succeed. Our model was very cooperative , we did not had to wait for her to arrive and her attitude was really good, she did not make any complains or any other problems. She was very careful with the equipments we had. Throughout the whole day, we all had a good time, it was a lot of fun.
At the end of we were all very tired and exhausted as we started around 10 am and finished around 7:30 pm, we moved around the whole place. We took a break for lunch, we decided to order pizza.

For the editing part, we mostly worked on the skin of the model as we wanted a natural editing, meaning no filter unless B&W. When we did not like the colors we worked with Color Balance. During the process of editing, we worked on photoshop and used tools, such as the Spot Healing brush, Healing brush, Blur tool, Magnetic lasso, Patch tool, Image Ajustements.
